What are pre-warmed mailboxes?
Mailboxes that a seller has already run through warmup before handing them over, so they have a sending history when you get them. They are also sold as pre-warmed inboxes or pre-warmed email accounts. The seller usually picks the domain and mailbox names.

Are pre-warmed inboxes worth it?
When a campaign has to start within two weeks, yes. When it can wait, new mailboxes on your own domains cost less and reach full volume soon: ours send up to 25 cold emails a day from day 14. Pre-warmed mailboxes also come on domains the seller picked.
How many emails can a pre-warmed mailbox send a day?
We recommend up to 25 cold emails per mailbox a day, follow-ups included, with warmup kept running. Sellers' own numbers differ: Instantly says start at 5 and stay at 20 to 25, Smartlead 20 to 30, Zapmail start at 20, Primeforge and Infraforge 30 to 50.
Do pre-warmed mailboxes still need warmup?
Yes. Keep warmup running while you send. Warmup history gives a mailbox a starting point; new lists, copy and volume still decide where your cold emails land.
Are aged domains the same as pre-warmed mailboxes?
No. An aged domain was registered long ago; a pre-warmed mailbox has warmup history of its own. In our data, after the first month domain age barely mattered: domains older than a month got 1.07% replies from Google recipients and newer ones 1.01% (3.7 million cold emails in 7 workspaces, 2026).
Can I use Instantly pre-warmed accounts outside Instantly?
No. Instantly's help center says it keeps domain ownership and administrator access and the accounts work only inside Instantly. Outreach2day mailboxes connect to Instantly, Smartlead, EmailBison and other tools.
