What is a cold email MCP server?

A remote MCP server that gives an AI agent tools for cold email infrastructure. The Outreach2day MCP server lets Claude, Cursor, Codex and any MCP client with OAuth sign-in check domains, quote domains and mailboxes, run warm-up, launch campaigns and read replies, while you approve and pay every order on Stripe. In ChatGPT the assistant checks domains, mailboxes, warm-up and campaigns, and orders go through the web app.

  • The entry holds only the URL, so mcp.json is safe to commit. Cursor asks before each tool call by default
  • No browser? Use an API key: "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:OUTREACH2DAY_API_KEY}" }. ${env:NAME} is filled from your environment in url and headers; envFile works only for local (stdio) servers

gemini mcp add with --transport http and the server URL, then /mcp auth outreach2day to sign in. Add -s user: without it the entry goes to the project's .gemini/settings.json. Gemini CLI docs: MCP servers

  • In settings.json a streamable HTTP server uses httpUrl; url is for SSE servers
  • No browser? Add --header 'Authorization: Bearer ${OUTREACH2DAY_API_KEY}' in single quotes; $VAR and ${VAR} expand in headers, so the key stays out of the file
  • trust: true skips every tool confirmation; leave it off

Your agent can

  • Check domains, quote an order and send you the Stripe link

Your agent cannot

  • Charge a card: every payment happens on a Stripe page you open
  • Launch a campaign before its mailboxes have 14 days of warm-up and the preflight check passes
  • Delete domains or mailboxes, cancel your plan or rotate passwords
  • Show mailbox passwords, SMTP/IMAP credentials or API keys in the chat

Connect your AI client

Add https://public.outreach2day.com/mcp to your AI client and sign in with your Outreach2day account when it asks. Then ask: "Check my Outreach2day account status". An API key is only for CI and headless setups.

  1. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Customize, Connectors, click + and choose Add custom connector
  2. Paste the server URL, https://public.outreach2day.com/mcp, and click Connect
  3. The first time the client connects, it opens an Outreach2day sign-in page in your browser. Sign in, turn on Prepare orders so the assistant can quote orders and create Stripe checkout links, and allow access
  4. The connector then works in claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps. Remote servers go in as connectors; claude_desktop_config.json is for local servers

Which AI clients work with it?

Any client that connects to a remote MCP server over streamable HTTP. Add the server URL and sign in to Outreach2day when the client asks: Claude Code, Claude Desktop and claude.ai connectors, ChatGPT developer mode, Codex, Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, grok.com connectors and Grok Build. The OpenAI and xAI APIs take an API key in a header, per their docs; we have not tested the APIs against the server yet. The installer adds the server by URL to Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and Codex in one run.

Does the agent need to run the whole setup in one chat?

No. Every call returns the current state and the next step, so you can come back days later and ask where the order or the warm-up stands.

Can I limit which tools the agent can call?

Yes. Most MCP clients let you turn single tools on and off, and the xAI and OpenAI APIs take a list of allowed tools. Give a reporting agent only the read tools.

Can the agent spend money on my behalf?

No. The agent can ask for a quote and hand you a Stripe checkout link. You pay on the Stripe page yourself. Quotes are priced by Outreach2day.

Is the Outreach2day MCP server available now?

Yes. Add https://public.outreach2day.com/mcp to your client and sign in to Outreach2day when it asks; turn on Prepare orders if the agent should quote orders. The installer (curl -fsSL https://outreach2day.com/install | sh) sets up Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI and Codex on a computer in one run. An API key is only for CI and clients that take only a header.

What does it cost?

The MCP server comes with your Outreach2day account. You pay for what the agent orders: $2.50 per mailbox a month, domains billed yearly, both shown in the quote before you pay.

Which tools does the server have?

Tools for pricing and account status, domains, orders and Stripe checkout, mailboxes and warm-up, campaigns, replies and stats, and export to Instantly or Smartlead. The full list is on this page.

Can I use domains I already own?

Yes. The agent connects them and returns the DNS records to set at your registrar. Connecting your own domains is free.

How long until new mailboxes can send?

First cold emails from day 14 of warm-up, full volume from day 21. The agent reports each mailbox's warm-up stage and ready date, and launches a campaign once its mailboxes have 14 days of warm-up.

Can I keep sending from Instantly or Smartlead?

Yes. The agent exports warm mailboxes to your Instantly or Smartlead workspace after you confirm, and you keep your sequences there.

Does the agent see my mailbox passwords?

No. No tool returns passwords, SMTP or IMAP credentials, or API keys. Export to a sequencer is the only step that moves credentials, and it needs your confirmation.

What happens if part of an order fails?

The order shows which domain or mailbox failed, with a link to support. Our team retries or refunds that item.
