Overview

What Icemail is

Icemail is run by Xquare Labs LLC in San Francisco. It provisions Google Workspace (Business Starter) and Microsoft 365 mailboxes on US or EU IPs, sets SPF, DKIM and DMARC through its own Cloudflare-managed DNS, and pushes the mailboxes to Instantly, Smartlead, EmailBison, Reachinbox, Lemlist and other sequencers in one click.

Next to the Google and Microsoft mailboxes it sells two cheaper-per-mailbox products: Azure-hosted Microsoft mailboxes at $29 a domain a month for 100 mailboxes that send 5 cold emails a day each, and IMAP/SMTP on a dedicated IP at $49 a domain a month. Pre-warmed Google and Microsoft mailboxes are $5 or $6 depending on the page.

Billing is pay as you go from a wallet: no plan, each mailbox renews monthly until you cancel it. Icemail sends no campaigns itself: its Why Icemail page describes it as the infrastructure under your sequencer.

Add-ons and extra costs

The headline $2.50 is a deal. The pricing card shows $2.50 a mailbox a month for Google or Microsoft over a struck $3.50 and calls it an "exclusive limited deal" with no end date. Domains are from $12 a year per .com, or free if you bring your own.

The limit decides the count. Icemail's help center allows 15 cold emails per Google or Microsoft mailbox a day, plus 15 warmup emails run in your tool, and recommends 2 to 3 mailboxes per domain (3 on its Google page). 1,000 cold emails a day therefore take 67 mailboxes and 23 domains. Every price is in Icemail pricing.

Its refund terms do not agree with each other. The help center says "all payments made to Icemail.ai are final"; the Fulfillment & Refund Policy considers refunds case by case; the pricing FAQ says unused wallet balance is refundable within 14 days. Read them before topping up a large wallet.

Compared at the same emails a day, each vendor at its own published emails per mailbox a day: a cheap mailbox that sends 5 a day costs more per email than one that sends 25. Mailboxes = emails a day ÷ emails per mailbox a day (Icemail: 15, its help center's cold limit for Google and Microsoft; Outreach2day: 25). A month is 22 sending days, so emails a month = emails a day × 22. Monthly list prices on monthly billing; the Instantly plan is the cheapest one that covers the volume. Icemail domains at $12 a year, 3 mailboxes per domain; Outreach2day .com domains at $13 a year, 5 mailboxes per domain. Domains spread over 12 months. Outreach2day mailboxes on comparison pages: $2.50 a mailbox up to 99, $1.50 from 100, $0.50 from 1,000; larger volumes on the Enterprise plan. A mailbox-only vendor cannot send campaigns on its own, so its total is the full sending setup: its mailboxes, domains and the sequencer plan that covers the volume. Instantly is the reference sequencer, on its published plans for the emails and new contacts a month (emails ÷ 3); Smartlead where Instantly publishes no plan; Mailforge with Salesforge, because its mailboxes cannot be warmed in Instantly. The mailbox line is listed on its own in every cell.

What Icemail does well

  • One $2.50 price on monthly billing, no minimum
  • One-click export to Instantly, Smartlead, EmailBison and more
  • API with webhooks on every plan
  • Domains registered in your name, or your own
  • Free mailbox replacements when an account burns

Verdict

Icemail is a tidy way to buy Google or Microsoft mailboxes one at a time with automated DNS and a quick export. At its own 15-a-day limit, with warmup and a sequencer on top and the deal price labelled limited, a full setup costs about three times ours at the same volume.

Outreach2day is $2.50 a mailbox month to month, $1.50 from 100 and $0.50 from 1,000, with warmup for the life of the mailbox, 25 cold emails a day from day 14 and our own sequencer. Keep Instantly or Smartlead if you like: our mailboxes sync in by API key. Our mailboxes run on our own infrastructure and land in the inbox.

Mailboxes = emails a day ÷ emails per mailbox a day (Icemail: 15; Outreach2day: 25). A month is 22 sending days, so emails a month = emails a day × 22. The Instantly plan is the published plan that covers the volume (its contacts and emails); where a vendor publishes no price at that size, the cell says so and the chart leaves it out. Domains at each vendor's published price spread over 12 months; Outreach2day .com domains at $13 a year, 5 mailboxes per domain, are in every total.

Switching

Moving from Icemail to Outreach2day

  1. Keep your sequencer

Connect Instantly or Smartlead in Outreach2day with an API key and the warm mailboxes are added to your account; other tools take a CSV in their import format, or SMTP/IMAP logins. How the export works

  2. Or move the campaigns

Our sequencer runs campaigns with steps, a send schedule, stop on reply and one inbox for replies; import the contacts as a CSV and recreate the steps. The mailbox price stays $2.50.

  3. Warmup and the overlap

New mailboxes warm for 14 days before cold email, and warmup keeps running after that. Keep the Icemail mailboxes sending during those two weeks, then shift the volume and cancel Icemail for the end of its billing period.

Icemail mailboxes renew monthly from the wallet until cancelled in Billing, and its refund policy asks for 7 days' notice before renewal; refunds of used mailboxes are unlikely under any of its three policies. Domains bought there are registered in your name, so you can point them elsewhere.

In detail

Warmup is not in the $2.50

Icemail sets up DNS so the mailboxes are "ready for your own warmup", and its calculator shows a 14-day warmup timeline before full volume. The warmup runs in your sequencer, so the Instantly or Smartlead plan is part of the setup cost from day one.

Its limits page counts warmup inside the mailbox's 30 emails a day: 15 cold and 15 warmup. If your sequencer counts warmup against the same daily cap, Icemail's calculator doubles the mailboxes in its strict mode.

Google partner claims and what you get

Icemail calls itself an official Google partner and quotes 99.2% inbox delivery on its own pages; neither figure comes with a method we could check. Each Google domain gets its own admin panel with 2FA, which Icemail says cannot be removed.

Most people think only Google gets to the inbox and overpay for it. Our mailboxes run on our own infrastructure and land in the inbox, and every Outreach2day mailbox comes with Google and Outlook placement tests, so you can compare them with Icemail mailboxes on the same copy.

FAQ

Icemail review: questions

How much does Icemail cost?

$2.50 per Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailbox a month, shown as a limited deal over $3.50. Azure is $29 a domain a month for 100 mailboxes, IMAP/SMTP $49 a domain a month, pre-warmed mailboxes $5 or $6, domains from $12 a year.

What do 2,500 cold emails a day cost with Icemail?

167 mailboxes at 15 a day ($417.50), 56 domains ($56 a month) and Instantly Hypergrowth ($97): $570.50 a month. 100 Outreach2day mailboxes send the same for $171.67 with warmup and our sequencer.

Does Icemail include warmup?

No. Icemail sets up DNS so mailboxes are ready for your own warmup in your sequencer; its calculator plans 14 days before full volume.

How many emails can an Icemail mailbox send a day?

Its help center gives 15 cold emails plus 15 warmup emails per Google or Microsoft mailbox a day, 50 for SMTP and 10 for Azure.

Does Icemail give refunds?

Its pages disagree. The help center says all payments are final, the refund policy considers requests case by case and excludes delivered mailboxes, and the pricing FAQ says unused wallet balance is refundable within 14 days.

Is Icemail legit? What rating does it have?

Icemail is run by Xquare Labs LLC in San Francisco and has 4.0 on Trustpilot from 18 reviews.
