Overview

What Instantly AirMail is

AirMail is Instantly's native sending infrastructure. Its help center calls it a private SMTP product: Instantly hosts the servers and IPs, groups customers into pods by sending pattern, and sets SPF, DKIM and DMARC on every domain. There is no AirMail login page or inbox outside Instantly; the accounts appear in the Email Accounts dashboard and send from Instantly campaigns.

It sits next to Instantly's two other account products: done-for-you Google accounts at $5 a month and pre-warmed Google accounts at $10. All three are bought with secondary .com or .org domains at $15 a year, up to 5 accounts per domain, and all three need an active Outbound plan after the 14-day trial.

Instantly pitches AirMail as an addition to Google and Outlook rather than a replacement. Its own best-practice answer is a 50/50 split between AirMail and Google inboxes, and AirMail drops any mail sent to personal addresses at gmail.com, outlook.com or yahoo.com.

Add-ons and extra costs

The inbox is $4 a month, but the inbox alone cannot send. Instantly's plans overview says AirMail, done-for-you and pre-warmed subscriptions "only provide domains and email accounts"; the sending and the warmup come from an Outbound plan: Growth $47 for 5,000 emails, Hypergrowth $97 for 125,000, Light Speed $358 for 500,000, and $87 add-ons above that.

The 20-a-day cap sets the count. At 20 campaign emails per inbox a day, every 1,000 cold emails a day takes 50 AirMail inboxes and 10 domains: $200 in inboxes and $12.50 in domains a month before the plan. Every plan, add-on and account type is in Instantly AirMail pricing.

Instantly's terms make every fee non-refundable and non-cancellable, AirMail included. A cancelled AirMail account stops at once, and its Unibox conversations are deleted after 24 hours.

    Connect Instantly or Smartlead in Outreach2day with an API key and the warm mailboxes are added to your account; other tools take a CSV in their import format, or SMTP/IMAP logins. How the export works

  2. Or move the campaigns

    Our sequencer runs campaigns with steps, a send schedule, stop on reply and one inbox for replies; import the contacts as a CSV and recreate the steps. The mailbox price stays $2.50.

  3. Warmup and the overlap

    New mailboxes warm for 14 days before cold email, and warmup keeps running after that. Keep the Instantly AirMail mailboxes sending during those two weeks, then shift the volume and cancel Instantly AirMail for the end of its billing period.

Instantly cancels AirMail accounts at once and refunds nothing; their domains stay valid to a year from purchase. Order Outreach2day mailboxes 14 days ahead, sync them into the same Instantly workspace, move campaigns over, then cancel the AirMail accounts.

What 20 emails a day means for the bill

Most mailbox vendors plan 15 to 30 cold emails a day per inbox. AirMail's limit is a hard maximum of 20, set by Instantly, and the minimum wait time between sends is managed for you. To send more you add inboxes, and every 5 inboxes add a $15 domain.

Supply is metered too: Instantly releases 5,000 AirMail accounts a week across all customers, first come first served. A 1,250-inbox order for 25,000 cold emails a day is a quarter of a week's supply.

Lock-in: the inboxes stay in Instantly

AirMail has no login and no export. If you move to Smartlead, EmailBison or your own sender later, the inboxes and their warmup history stay behind. For its done-for-you Google accounts Instantly also keeps the domains and admin access. The AirMail setup flow buys its domains through Instantly too, and Instantly does not publish whether you can transfer them.

Mailboxes on your own domains move with you. Outreach2day mailboxes sync into Instantly by API key and keep warming on our side, so the same Instantly campaigns run on them; if you leave Instantly, they send from our sequencer or any tool that takes SMTP/IMAP. Steps: export mailboxes to Instantly.

Instantly AirMail review: questions

How much does Instantly AirMail cost?

$4 per AirMail account a month and $15 per domain a year (up to 5 accounts per domain), plus an Instantly Outbound plan to send and warm: Growth $47, Hypergrowth $97 or Light Speed $358 a month.

How many emails can an AirMail inbox send a day?

At most 20 campaign emails a day, per Instantly's help center. Warmup is managed by Instantly and does not count toward that limit.

What do 2,500 cold emails a day cost with AirMail?

125 AirMail inboxes ($500), 25 domains ($31.25 a month) and Hypergrowth ($97): $628.25 a month. 100 Outreach2day mailboxes send the same for $171.67 with warmup and our sequencer, or $268.67 synced into the same Instantly plan.

Can I use AirMail outside Instantly?

No. AirMail has no login page or standalone inbox; the accounts are used only through the Instantly dashboard and pause without an active Outbound plan.

Is AirMail Google or Outlook?

Neither. It is SMTP on Instantly's own servers and IPs. Instantly's Google accounts are separate products: done-for-you at $5 and pre-warmed at $10 a month.

Does AirMail deliver to Gmail addresses?

Mail to personal addresses at gmail.com, outlook.com, yahoo.com and similar providers is dropped: AirMail is for business recipients only. Business domains hosted on Google or Microsoft are fine.

Can I get a refund for AirMail?

Instantly's terms make all fees non-refundable and non-cancellable. Cancelled accounts stop at once and their domains run to the end of the year they were bought for.
