Mailforge sells SMTP mailboxes on shared IPs for $3 a month, falling to $2 at volume and $1.67 on yearly billing. It does the mailbox and DNS well and fast. Warm-up is Warmforge, sending is Salesforge, and Forge's own help center says shared IPs tie your deliverability to other users.

  • Warm-up and sending included
  • $2.50 a mailbox, 12 minimum

Who Mailforge fits

  • You already use Salesforge and Warmforge
  • You buy hundreds of slots and can commit yearly
  • You want an API and MCP access to provisioning

  • You may need a refund

What Mailforge is

Mailforge is the shared-infrastructure member of the Forge products from Salesforge. Infraforge sells the same kind of mailbox on dedicated IPs, Primeforge sells Google and Microsoft mailboxes, and Warmforge and Salesforge handle warm-up and sending. Each is a separate subscription.

Inside Mailforge you buy domains in bulk (or bring yours), and it sets SPF, DKIM, DMARC and a tracking domain for each, then creates SMTP/IMAP mailboxes in minutes. Workspaces keep projects apart, and mailboxes move between them.

There is no sequencer. Mailboxes go to Salesforge natively, or to Instantly and Smartlead by CSV. Forge notes that Mailforge mailboxes cannot be warmed in Instantly's pool.

In detail

Shared IPs, in Forge's own words

Forge's comparison of its three mailbox products lists the trade-off openly: on Mailforge, deliverability can depend on other users' activity. That is the price of $2 to $3 mailboxes, and the reason Infraforge exists at $3 to $4.

Forge recommends 30 emails per mailbox a day, 100 at most, and 2 to 3 mailboxes per domain. Plan your mailbox count on the 30.

API, MCP and cancelling

Mailforge has a public REST API for workspaces, domains, DNS, masking, mailboxes and analytics, and the shared Forge MCP server at mcp.salesforge.ai covers its domains and mailboxes. Forge lists known gaps, such as changing a mailbox's daily limit.

There are no refunds on any Forge product, and cancelling takes a live-chat request at least seven days before the term ends. Miss the window and the next term is billed.

Mailforge ratings

The Mailforge home page shows a "4.9 Rating" badge without saying where it comes from. G2 did not load for us.

Mailforge or Outreach2day

We sell cold email mailboxes too. Where our product fits this buyer and where it does not.

Outreach2day fits if

  • You run 1,000+ mailboxes: we quote a volume price below every vendor list price in our comparisons, warm-up and sending included
  • You want warm-up and a sending engine in the $2.50 instead of Warmforge plus Salesforge
  • You want month-to-month billing and cancellation without a 7-day notice window
  • You need 12 to 100 mailboxes, where Forge's add-ons outweigh its slot price

Stay with Mailforge if

  • You are invested in Salesforge as your sequencer
  • You want a choice of shared or dedicated IPs from one vendor family
