Short answer
Download the Snov CSV from Outreach2day and import it in Snov.io's email accounts with Import from CSV (up to 100 accounts per file), or add each mailbox as Other (SMTP): host outreachmailstream.com, SMTP 465 and IMAP 993. Snov.io asks for its sample's exact column order, so compare the headers first. Set the daily limit to 25; warm-up keeps running in Outreach2day.
What you get
- A CSV in Snov.io's import format with the SMTP and IMAP settings of every mailbox you pick
- Warm-up keeps running in Outreach2day after the export, included in the price
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC already set on every domain
Export the CSV and import it into Snov.io
In Outreach2day
- Select mailboxes. Open Mailboxes and select the mailboxes to export, or export all of them
- Download the file. Click Export and pick Snov. The CSV downloads with one row per mailbox
In Snov.io
- Open the import. On the email accounts page choose Import from CSV and download the sample from the pop-up (snov.io)
- Upload. Browse files, tick Skip the first row if it has headers, and upload (up to 100 accounts per import) (snov.io)
- Check the result. Read the import summary and download the error file if some rows failed; a red status means the server returned an error, shown under Edit (snov.io)
- Or add one mailbox. Email Accounts > Add email account > Other (SMTP), fill the SMTP and IMAP settings, Check connection, then Add account (snov.io)
Fields in the Snov.io CSV
The file from the Snov export has these columns:
| Column | Value |
|---|---|
From email | The mailbox address |
From name | Sender first and last name |
Username | Empty (the address is used) |
SMTP host, SMTP port | outreachmailstream.com, 465 |
SMTP encryption type | SSL |
Password | The mailbox password |
Reply to | Empty |
IMAP host, IMAP port | outreachmailstream.com, 993 |
IMAP encryption type | SSL |
IMAP username, IMAP password | The address and the mailbox password |
Delay between emails | 60,120 (random seconds) |
Daily sending limit | 70 |
- The file has every column Snov.io marks as required: From email, From name, SMTP host, SMTP port, Password, IMAP host, IMAP port
- Snov.io asks you not to rename, reorder or delete columns of its sample; download the sample in the import pop-up and, if its order differs, paste our values into it
- Daily sending limit is 70 in the file; set 25. Delay between emails 60,120 means a random 60 to 120 seconds
Connection settings
To add a single mailbox by hand, or to check what Snov.io saved, use these settings:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| SMTP host | outreachmailstream.com |
| SMTP port | 465 (SSL/TLS) |
| IMAP host | outreachmailstream.com |
| IMAP port | 993 (SSL/TLS) |
| Username (SMTP and IMAP) | The full email address |
| Password (SMTP and IMAP) | The mailbox password from the export (the same for SMTP and IMAP) |
Sending settings per mailbox
- Mailboxes can send cold email 14 days after warm-up starts; warm-up keeps running after that
- Up to 25 cold emails per mailbox a day, warm-up not counted
- Start low on day 14 (for example 5 a day) and reach 25 around day 21
- To send more, add mailboxes and domains; keep the per-mailbox number at 25
Where to set it in Snov.io:
- Daily sending limit tab > Messages per day (set 25); Snov.io's default for SMTP accounts is 50, and it counts warm-up and campaign emails together (snov.io)
- Delay between emails: Snov.io's default is a random 600 to 900 seconds (snov.io)
- Snov.io has no ramp setting; its guide raises campaign volume by hand week by week (snov.io)
Why 25: how many cold emails one mailbox should send a day. The day-by-day ramp: email warm-up schedule.
Warm-up
Warm-up for Outreach2day mailboxes runs in Outreach2day and is included in the price. It keeps running after you export the mailboxes, whichever tool sends from them, so the other tool's warm-up is optional.
- Snov.io's warm-up: Email Warm-up > Add mailbox, with Progressive or Steady strategies and a recommended 30% reply rate; the number of warm-ups depends on the plan's slots (snov.io)
Keep warm-up on while the mailbox sends: should I keep warm-up running while sending.
DNS and tracking domain
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC for every Outreach2day domain are set and checked automatically; you add nothing for sending
- A custom tracking domain is a CNAME on a subdomain of your sending domain. For a domain whose DNS Outreach2day hosts, add it in the app: Domains, open the domain, Manage DNS records, Add record (type CNAME). For a domain whose DNS stays at your registrar, add it there
- A tracking domain matters only with open or click tracking on. In the first cold email, leave out the tracking pixel and links and measure replies (see the answer on open tracking below)
- Snov.io's custom tracking domain is a CNAME, usually with host track, pointing to snov-stream.com; set it under Edit > Optional settings > Custom tracking domain, also in bulk after an import (snov.io)
More on tracking: do open tracking and links hurt cold email deliverability.
Troubleshooting
| Error or symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Import errors: missing or wrong required fields, blank or duplicate rows, account already added | Open the downloaded error file, fix the rows named in its Error column and upload again (snov.io) |
| Account connected conditionally | IMAP is missing, so replies are not tracked: add the IMAP settings (snov.io) |
| Invalid domain format / address not recognized on the tracking domain | Check the CNAME for typos and wait 24 to 48 hours (snov.io) |
| Authentication failed / invalid credentials | Use the full email address as the username and the password from a fresh export. A disabled mailbox is exported with an empty password, so it can't connect |
| Connection timed out or SSL/TLS handshake error | Use SMTP port 465 with SSL/TLS and IMAP port 993 with SSL/TLS, both on outreachmailstream.com. Check that the tool did not switch the security setting to STARTTLS or none |
| Mailbox connects but can't send yet | Check the mailbox in Outreach2day: new mailboxes are being set up for up to 24 hours, and cold email starts 14 days after warm-up starts |
| Mailbox disconnected after it worked | Reconnect it in the tool with the same settings. With a one-click connection (Instantly, Smartlead) and auto-reconnect on, Outreach2day reconnects it for you |
If bounces climb after the mailboxes connect, look at the list: why a cold email bounce rate gets too high.
FAQ
Does the Snov CSV from Outreach2day import as it is?
It has all the columns Snov.io requires. Snov.io's sample in the app can differ in order and names, and Snov.io asks not to rename or reorder its columns, so compare the two headers before the upload.
Can I add Outlook accounts to Snov.io by CSV?
Snov.io says Outlook accounts must connect with OAuth, one by one. Outreach2day mailboxes are SMTP/IMAP accounts, so they import by CSV.
Do I need Snov.io's warm-up for Outreach2day mailboxes?
No. Warm-up for Outreach2day mailboxes runs in Outreach2day and keeps running after you add them to Snov.io.
