Mailscale alternatives: SMTP inboxes with warmup and sending included, and the vendors next to them

Mailscale sells shared-IP SMTP inboxes for $79 to $249 a month, leaves warmup and sending to a sequencer you buy, refunds nothing and now steers new buyers to a done-for-you offer priced on a call. Outreach2day is the alternative with mailboxes, warmup and a sequencer in one bill at $2.50 a mailbox. We make Outreach2day and list it first; the other six follow with the same facts for each.

  • Warmup and sending included
  • $2.50 a mailbox, 12 minimum

Why each one is a Mailscale alternative

  1. 01

    1. Outreach2day: mailboxes, warmup and the sequencer in one bill

The same kind of SMTP/IMAP inbox, with what Mailscale leaves out included: warmup for the life of the mailbox and a sequencer with steps, schedules, stats and a reply inbox. $2.50 a mailbox from 12, month to month. At 50 mailboxes the full setup is about $136 a month against about $229 for Mailscale Business, domains and Instantly Hypergrowth. Keep Instantly or Smartlead if you like: our mailboxes sync by API key, and EmailBison takes our CSV.

  2. 02

    2. Maildoso: SMTP packs at 300 and 1,000

SMTP sold in packs: $225 for 300 and $499 for 1,000, with an API and MCP server. It caps sends at 15 a day per mailbox, half Mailscale's 30, sends to corporate addresses only and, like Mailscale, leaves warmup to an outside tool.

    Maildoso review

  3. 03

    3. Mailforge: shared-IP SMTP sold per slot

The closest product to Mailscale's: shared-IP SMTP inboxes at $3 a month, falling to $2 with volume or $1.67 on yearly billing, with the Forge MCP server. Warmup is Warmforge, a separate subscription, and Forge refunds nothing.

    Mailforge review

  4. 04

    4. Infraforge: SMTP on dedicated IPs

If shared IPs are the reason you leave Mailscale: Infraforge puts mailboxes on dedicated IPs (up to 40 per IP), from $4 a mailbox a month on quarterly billing, $2.50 on yearly 1,000+ slots. Extra IPs are $99 a month; warmup is Warmforge, sold separately.

    Infraforge review

  5. 05

    5. Mailreef: your own SMTP server

A dedicated server and IP for $240 to $249 a month plus $0.001 a send, with 150+ mailboxes on it and 50 sends per mailbox a day. It ranks with a Mailscale alternative page of its own; warmup is an outside tool at a 1:1 ratio.

  6. 06

    6. Zapmail: Google and Microsoft accounts with warmup handled

If you want Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 instead of SMTP: $39 for 10, $99 for 30, $299 for 100, warmup handled per its FAQ, pre-warmed mailboxes, and an MCP server with 134 tools.

    Zapmail review

  7. 07

    7. Hypertide: Outlook inboxes priced per domain

Mailscale's policy bans cold email to Microsoft consumer addresses; Hypertide sells Microsoft Entra inboxes at $25 a domain of 25, each domain on its own tenant. It asks for a $500 credit before the first order and runs warmup in your sequencer.

Choosing

Why Mailscale buyers switch

Four reasons come up on Mailscale's own pages and in its one-star Trustpilot reviews: no refunds of any kind, warmup and sending that need a second subscription, IPs shared with every other customer, and a home page that now sells a done-for-you service at a price you only learn on a call.

Price per inbox is rarely the reason: Enterprise is $1.25 an inbox at 200. Count the whole bill instead. A Mailscale plan plus domains plus a sequencer is about $180 a month at 15 inboxes and $229 at 50; Outreach2day is about $41 and $136 for the same mailboxes with warmup and sending included. The Mailscale review has every plan and term with its source.

Moving off Mailscale

Domains bought in Mailscale are yours if you cancel and can move to Namecheap, per its help center. Cancel before the renewal date: subscriptions renew automatically and nothing is refunded after.

Order the new mailboxes 14 days before you stop the old ones, so warmup finishes while Mailscale inboxes still send. On Outreach2day that warmup is already running when the mailboxes appear; each sends the full 25 cold emails a day from day 14. If you keep Instantly or Smartlead, connect the new mailboxes by API key and pause the old ones campaign by campaign.

Outreach2day as a Mailscale alternative

We make Outreach2day and list it first. Where it fits and where it does not.

It fits if

  • You run 1,000+ mailboxes: we quote a volume price below every vendor list price in our comparisons, warmup and sending included
  • You want one bill for mailboxes, warmup and the sequencer
  • You run 12 to 100 mailboxes and want warmup and sending in the mailbox price
  • You want a REST API and an MCP server for setup and campaigns

It does not fit if

  • You need Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 accounts
  • You want a free trial before you pay
  • You need LinkedIn or call steps in the same tool

Mailscale alternatives: questions

What is the best Mailscale alternative?

Outreach2day if you want SMTP mailboxes with warmup and a sequencer in one subscription at $2.50 a mailbox. Maildoso for SMTP packs of 300 or 1,000, Infraforge for dedicated IPs, Zapmail for Google and Microsoft accounts, Hypertide for Outlook inboxes priced per domain.

Which Mailscale alternatives include warmup?

Outreach2day includes it for every mailbox for as long as you keep it, and Zapmail says it handles warmup. Maildoso, Mailreef and Hypertide leave it to an outside tool or your sequencer; Mailforge and Infraforge sell it as Warmforge.

Is there a Mailscale alternative with refunds?

Few vendors in this market refund. Outreach2day bills month to month with no yearly plan needed, so you can stop at the end of any month; Maildoso has a 30-day guarantee limited to outages it causes.

Is Mailscale still self-serve?

Yes. The self-serve plans are still sold at app.mailscale.ai with a 7-day trial, while the mailscale.ai home page sells Agentic Mailscale, a done-for-you service priced on a call.

Can I keep my domains if I leave Mailscale?

Yes. Mailscale's help center says domains are yours if you cancel and can be transferred to Namecheap. Point them at the new provider; on Outreach2day the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are set for you.
