Outreach2day vs Apollo (2026): sending at $543 vs $2,209 a month

Apollo is mainly a lead-data platform: 240M+ contacts, revealed with credits, with sequences built in. Outreach2day is the sending side only: mailboxes, warmup and a sequencer at $2.50 a mailbox. Compared as senders at 5,000 cold emails a day from 200 SMTP mailboxes, Apollo needs 14 Organization seats, $2,209 a month with our mailboxes, against $543 on Outreach2day. If you prospect in Apollo, the two work together.

Short answer

Why teams pick Outreach2day over Apollo

  1. Mailboxes are not tied to seats

Apollo links 5 IMAP/SMTP mailboxes per Professional seat and 15 per Organization seat, so 200 mailboxes need 14 seats. Outreach2day prices the mailbox, $2.50 a month, with no seats.

  2. Warmup for every mailbox

Apollo's warmup covers about 1 mailbox per seat and charges 200 credits every 30 days for each extra one. Every Outreach2day mailbox warms up for 14 days and keeps warming while it sends.

  3. Credits stay for data

Apollo pays for warmup, domains and mailboxes from the same credits as emails and phone numbers. On Outreach2day none of the sending spends your Apollo credits.

  4. An MCP server that builds the sending

Apollo's MCP server enriches contacts and creates sequences. Ours also buys domains and mailboxes, starts warmup and launches campaigns: 24 tools.

Apollo has what Outreach2day does not: a 240M+ contact database with email and phone reveals, enrichment, a US dialer, deals and AI research, and unlimited Google and Microsoft mailboxes on one Professional seat. If you send from Google Workspace accounts, one Apollo seat may be all the sequencer you need.

Why each Apollo plan

With 40, 200 and 400 Outreach2day SMTP mailboxes in Apollo, the seats are 3, 14 and 27 on Organization: $466, $2,209 and $4,300 a month in total. Outreach2day alone is $109, $543 and $1,087.

On Professional the SMTP limit is 5 per seat, so even 40 mailboxes would need 8 seats, $792 a month. The Apollo line shrinks only if the mailboxes are Google or Microsoft accounts, which one Professional seat links without a limit.

The split that keeps Apollo's data: one Professional seat at $99 for prospecting and exports, and the sending on Outreach2day: $642 a month at 5,000 emails a day.

The details

Apollo is a database with a sequencer

Apollo's product is the data: search 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies, reveal an email for 1 credit and a phone number for 8, enrich records and score leads. Sequences, A/Z tests on Professional, the dialer and deals are built around that data.

Outreach2day has no database and does no enrichment. You import a CSV, so a list exported from Apollo goes straight into an Outreach2day campaign with its variables.

Sending from each

Apollo sends from linked mailboxes with daily and hourly limits per mailbox on a rolling 24 hours and recommends 50 to 100 emails per mailbox a day. Mailboxes it sells are capped at 200 a day and are deactivated if the plan changes or the credits run out.

Outreach2day campaigns send from its own mailboxes at up to 25 cold emails a mailbox a day from day 14, with follow-up steps, a send window by time zone, daily caps, stop on reply and one replies inbox with intent labels. There is no open or click tracking.

AI agents and MCP

Apollo's MCP server at mcp.apollo.io works on every plan, Free included; from an AI chat it can enrich contacts, create sequences, enroll contacts and send one-off emails, spending credits on enrichment. The Apollo MCP comparison lists its tools next to ours.

Our MCP server covers the infrastructure: an assistant like Claude can price and order domains and mailboxes, start warmup, write the sequence, import contacts and launch, with every order paid through Stripe after you approve it. The Apollo review covers the rest of Apollo's terms.
