Both sell mailboxes at $5 a month. Reply puts them on domains from $6 a year and Instantly on $15 domains, so the 5,000-a-day setup with their own inboxes is $1,519 on Reply.io and $1,234 on Instantly. Reply's mailboxes need an active subscription and can't move to standalone Google or Microsoft accounts; Instantly keeps ownership and admin access of its done-for-you accounts.

Active contacts and uploaded contacts

Reply counts every contact emailed in the billing month, so the plan follows how many people you reach. Instantly's uploaded-contact limit is a running total: 25,000 on Hypergrowth until you delete old leads or add an $87 add-on with 25,000 more.

Reply's Email Volume tiers also cap mailboxes: 250 on the 10,000 tier, 1,250 on 50,000. Instantly connects unlimited accounts on paid plans.

LinkedIn, calls and AI

Reply runs email, LinkedIn, calls, SMS and WhatsApp tasks in one sequence; its Multichannel plan starts at $99 per user with unlimited active contacts. Instantly puts calls, SMS and LinkedIn connections in a CRM add-on at $47 or $97 a month.

Reply's Jason AI SDR prospects, writes and books meetings from $800 a month for 1,000 active contacts. Instantly's AI agents run on its separate Credits subscription.

Terms, trials and MCP

Instantly takes Outreach2day mailboxes by API key and reconnects them if they drop; Reply.io imports them from a CSV in its format (Reply.io CSV). At $2.50 a month each they cost half of either vendor's $5 mailboxes, warmup included.

Is Reply.io more expensive than Instantly?

For email volume, yes: $179 to $999 a month at 1,000 to 10,000 emails a day on Reply's Email Volume tiers, against $97 to $271 on Instantly. Reply's Multichannel plan adds LinkedIn, calls and SMS, which Instantly sells as a CRM add-on.

How does Reply.io count contacts?

By active contacts a month: anyone emailed in the billing month counts, and counts again in each new month they are emailed.

Do Reply.io and Instantly include warmup?

Yes. Reply warms each connected mailbox through Mailtoaster.ai; Instantly includes unlimited warmup on every plan.

Can I use my own mailboxes in Reply.io and Instantly?
