Instantly review: a cheap sequencer whose bill is set by contacts and mailboxes

Instantly's Hypergrowth plan sends 125,000 emails for $97 a month with unlimited mailboxes and warm-up, which makes the sequencer line small. What decides the bill is the 25,000 uploaded-contact limit and where the mailboxes come from: at 5,000 emails a day the full setup costs $727 with our mailboxes and $1,234 with Instantly's own Google accounts.

What Instantly is

Instantly is a cold email sequencer. You connect as many Google, Microsoft or SMTP mailboxes as you like, it warms them up in its pool, rotates sending across them and collects the replies in Unibox from Hypergrowth up.

Around the sequencer Instantly sells separate products: a lead database (SuperSearch) on a Credits plan, a CRM with calls, SMS and LinkedIn connections, placement tests, and mailboxes. Each has its own price, so the plan card shows only part of what a team ends up paying.

Its mailboxes are convenient and closed. Done-for-you and pre-warmed Google accounts and Airmail SMTP accounts are set up for you, but Instantly keeps the domains and admin access, and the accounts work only inside Instantly.

Growth at $47 is a trial-sized plan: 5,000 emails and 1,000 contacts a month, no team members and no webhooks. Almost every sending team lands on Hypergrowth at $97.

The limit people hit first is contacts. Hypergrowth allows 25,000 uploaded contacts in total, and the help center says it is a fixed limit; there are no overages, so you delete old leads, add an $87 Outbound add-on (+25,000 contacts, +125,000 emails) or move to Light Speed at $358.

Yearly billing takes about 20% off: $37.60, $77.60 and $286.30 a month. Refunds are not offered on any fee, so the yearly discount is a commitment.

At 1,000 emails a day Hypergrowth alone covers the volume, so the sequencer is $97 of a $206 setup with Outreach2day mailboxes. At 5,000 a day the 36,700 new contacts a month need one add-on, and at 10,000 two of them, which still costs less than Light Speed.

Instantly's own done-for-you Google accounts cost $5 each and domains $15 a year. The same 200 mailboxes cost $1,000 a month from Instantly against $500 from us, and ours can move to another sequencer later because the SMTP/IMAP logins are yours.

Outreach2day all-in skips the Instantly plan: mailboxes, warm-up and our sequencer in one bill, $543 a month at 5,000 emails a day. That works when your campaigns are email-only and you do not need Instantly's lead database or CRM.

Mailboxes you can take with you

Instantly connects any IMAP/SMTP mailbox, one at a time or from a CSV, so you can bring mailboxes from any vendor. Outreach2day connects to Instantly with an API key: warm mailboxes are added to your workspace and reconnected if they drop (how the export works).

Done-for-you accounts are the opposite trade. They are ready in a day and need no DNS work, but you cannot move them out if you leave Instantly.

API and MCP

API v2 is on every paid plan, and Instantly runs an official MCP server at mcp.instantly.ai that takes an API key. It exposes campaigns, leads, accounts, replies and analytics to an assistant like Claude.
